FOSSFM Deliverables for 2006

Meetups


To hold montly Meetups.
  • Find a stable location, and hold it for a minimum of six months. 
  • Grow the meetup to at least 40 people.  If the location is too small to handle the amount, a change of location should be permitted.

Annual FOSS Event


To support and help organize one large annual FOSS event a year.
  • We need an OLS for the SEA region.

LPI Certification


To continue conduct and advocate LPI certification programmes.
  • Right now, we're doing approximately 100/certification/year. This should be raised to 1000/certifications/year.
    • How?

Localisation


To support localisation FOSS projects.
  • To localise software to supported language status FOSS desktop (KDE/Gnome), Office Suite (OpenOffice.org), Browser (Firefox), Email (Thunderbird) and instant messenger application (Gaim).
  • This can be completed within a year, with sufficient people. Convince universities to allow students to do projects on localization efforts.

To facilitate funding in support of FOSSFM projects.
